Anton “Quentin” Tepliuk is a freelance stage manager based in San Jose, CA. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, he started out as a student of classical piano and got involved with performances, be it recitals or small school plays. After moving to the United States in 2012, he briefly dabbled in acting before landing backstage, where he has worked since.
Initially starting as a lighting student in high school, he pivoted to stage management at Foothill College. Since then, he’s worked with numerous other teams and companies in the South Bay, including Sunnyvale Community Players, South Bay Musical Theatre, City Lights Theatre Company, and Silicon Valley Shakespeare. While no longer a practicing musician, his acquired understanding of music theory has become a great asset when it comes to coordinating other production elements with music. Quentin seeks to deepen his understanding of stagecraft in all its different forms to better help bring the vision of the director, designers, and company, to fruition, all in hopes of better embodying a “jack of all trades”. Quentin hopes to make the jump across the continent and become established in NYC.
During the day, Quentin works as an environmental and dynamics compliance technician for the telecommunications sector. Whenever he finds free time between work and shows, he often retreats to the Santa Cruz Mountains to soak in the verdant sights of the trails and roads.
